Working Title Motor Vehicle Dealer Board Field Representative - Part-Time Hourly Position - #W0021 Role Title Non-Classified Agency Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (506) Location Richmond (City) - 760 Job Description This is an hourly/part-time position, without benefits and retirement, eligible to work 29 hours a week, 1500 hours a year.

The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board has an opening for a part-time hourly Field Representative responsible for the administration and regulation of the Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing Laws and Advertising Rules and Regulations as they relate to franchised and independent motor vehicle dealers throughout Virginia. **Bilingual or multilingual individuals are urge to apply.**

Position W0021 is a part-time hourly position; this position DOES NOT offer state benefits. Selected individual is eligible to work up to 29 hours per week.

The selected candidate home office must be located in any of the following counties or cities of Henrico, Richmond City, Hanover, Goochland and Fluvanna Minimum Qualifications Job Requirements:

- Working knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing laws and Advertising Rules and Regulations.

- Ability to perform inspections of motor vehicles dealerships to ensure compliance.

- Ability to educate and assist the dealers with setting up a record-keeping system in compliance with statute; educate dealers on the Motor Vehicle Dealer Boards website and whats available on the website.

- Ability to analyze findings of fact during compliant investigations (dealer and consumer) to determine necessary actions.

- Ability to communicate tactfully and to work without supervision.

- Demonstrated skills in presenting facts in well-documented reports and in making presentations to Executives and Board members.

- Basic PC and word processing skills needed.

- Experience interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and rules to ensure compliance.

- Training in investigative techniques.

- Experience using automated investigative and management reports.

- Must possess a valid Virginia Drivers License.
