Touching Hearts at Home of SW Boston is seeking an After Hours Scheduling Coordinator to provide excellent caregiver and client support beyond regular office hours and on weekends for older adults and their families in a professional and appropriate manner. We are seeking a clerical / customer service focused person with HHA experience to be both our phone support and in certain situations, caregiver due to call outs.


Main Duties:
  • Answer all calls "after hours" beginning at 4:30 pm through 8 am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday; OR Sunday from 8:00 am to 8 am Monday morning.
  • Politely and efficiently resolve any client service issues, scheduling issues or adjustments.
  • Monitor the on-call email for any missed clock-ins / outs and voicemails check these at least every 2-3 hours.
  • Track all incoming calls, missed clock-ins, and voicemails in the on-call log; respond to each as needed.
  • Serve as jump and run caregiver in times where you are unable to fill shifts. This is an essential requirement of the position. You must be able to arrive at a shift within 90 minutes of being notified.
Other Requirements:
  • Must have experience and comfortability providing Home Health Aide level care.
  • Experience working with scheduling software.
  • Must be willing and able to work with all clients - this includes working with clients who have pets, smoke, are on hospice, etc.
  • Must have a reliable smart phone and phone service / internet access throughout their shift.
  • Must be available and able to answer and respond to incoming phone calls throughout their shift. When not actively taking calls or completing follow through, After Hours Scheduling Coordinator is free to utilize their time as they see fit, as long as they are able to meet the above requirements.
Pay:
  • Guaranteed 3 hours of pay at $20 per hour Monday through Thursday; 6 hours of pay at $20 per hour on Sunday
  • PLUS $20.00 an hour if you must cover a shift
  • We would also love to have you work as a Home Health Aide for Touching Hearts outside of the on-call position!
After Hours Scheduling Coordinator Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role within office or customer service setting; preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Personal or professional experience working as Companion Caregiver, Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Proficient in scheduling software
  • Passion for helping seniors remain safe and independent wherever they call home.
  • Valid driver s license, reliable insured vehicle and smart phone.
  • Ability to complete a Driving Record check and Background check.
