Job Overview:

As a Traveling Commercial Site Supervisor at SSC Construction, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing onsite operations across various construction projects. Working closely with project teams and subcontractors, you will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and timelines. This role requires extensive travel within Florida, with most projects based in Central FL, and occasional overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Onsite Operations Management:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day onsite operations of commercial construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain productivity and efficiency.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly.

1. Safety Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies on all job sites.
• Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and inspections to promote a safe work environment.

1. Communication and Collaboration:

• Effectively communicate project goals, expectations, and schedules to subcontractors and team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.

1. Problem-Solving:

• Identify potential challenges or obstacles on-site and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
• Work closely with project teams to address issues promptly and keep projects on track.

1. Travel and Remote Work:

• Travel extensively within Florida to various project locations, with occasional overnight stays as required.
• Operate remotely as needed to support project needs and ensure effective communication with project teams.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and inspection records.
• Provide regular updates and reports to project management on project status, milestones, and issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial construction supervision or related field.
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Florida and occasionally stay overnight as needed.
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record required.
