Location Description
The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. Overview
We're looking for an Assistant Director of Spa to join the leadership team over our stunning Forbes 4-Star Spa, Tierra Luna!
After a recent renovation of the space and offerings, this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of a talented team delivering a unique experience to our guests with cutting edge products and offerings inspired by the local culture and surroundings.
The spa has 12 treatment rooms (indoor and outdoor), indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces, a cafe, contrast bathing (a hot tub and cold plunge pool), and one of the only freestanding outdoor Halotherapy rooms where guests can boost their immunity and cleanse their respiratory system. In this role, you will manage a talented team of 40 and report directly to the Director of Spa.
- Manage the day-to-day operations/scheduling of spa, salon and fitness/recreation departments
- Review and manage the overall service provider staffing levels of the spa appointment books on a daily basis. Ensure we're fully staffed.
- Oversee and supervise all service provider staff.
- Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff
- Handle payroll and audits
- Ensure spa, salon, fitness and recreation supplies are stocked
- Assist Director with managing retail inventory
- Ensure all departmental safety trainings are conducted
- Responsible for oversight of all B4T transactions generated in the Spa to ensure proper revenues are actualized
Qualifications- At least 3-5 years of spa management experience
- Prior luxury experience
- Wealth of knowledge in spa and wellness modalities and operations
- Passion for mentoring and developing others
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to make sound judgement calls
- Critical thinker
- Collaborative leader and colleague
- Team player
