Job Purpose:
This position ensures the product (PERLITE) is packaged according to customer order safely and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions:
- Working Safely is Priority.
- Comply with all safety & environmental regulations, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Packs product into bags, bulk bags.
- Communicates with plant operator to ensure quality product is bagged/produced
- Identifies bag type, pallet type, and code stickers.
- Remove, replace, and record broken and light weight bags.
- Dump broken bags and refeed non-conforming product.
- Check and record bag weights. Maintains lot code sequence per work order.
- Assists in shut down activities for maintenance activities
- Stacks or restacks bags or on pallets as required.
- Operates forklift and ore truck.
- Dump grit hoppers for perlite operators as needed.
- General plant cleanup, including but not limited to, washing down of structures and grounds, sweeping with push broom, vacuuming warehouse floors, and cleaning hoppers.
Additional Job Functions:- Lock-Out/Tag-out/Test-out procedures
- Confined Space procedures
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Good attendance history.
- Experience in manufacturing or mining, preferred
