Executive Housekeeper


Job Details

A private residence is seeking a dependable and experienced Executive Housekeeper with a strong track record of providing general housekeeping duties. The Executive housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the main home and guest house to the highest standards and will report directly to the Chief of Staff and Principals. The Executive Housekeeper will ensure that the properties are always prepared for the principals and their guests.


The successful individual in this role will be a dynamic, versatile, and resourceful. The ideal individual must be a self-starter who is service-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment that is mission and results driven.


The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available, working approximately 5 days each week for 8 hours at a time. Flexibility around hours and days may be required to meet changing needs of the principals.


Key Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and maintain the entire residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, playrooms, and all living spaces.

Ensure all areas, including outdoor spaces are maintained, clean, organized, and safe for children and pets.

Perform regularly scheduled tasks and preventative maintenance on all household appliances and technical systems. Complete daily,weekly, monthly, and seasonal task lists.

The hot water,television, built-in speakers,and temperature controls all must be checked the day before the principals or guests arrive.

Able to work with vendors and contractors to oversee maintenance of property.

Consistently check for damaged household goods, light bulb outages, technical problems, and any other household issues. Report any issues to the Chief of Staff and Principals in a timely manner.

Able to supervise all vendor work; comfortable communicating with vendors and reporting their performance to the Chief of Staff.

Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.

Maintain all personal winter and summer gear.

Pre-Arrival grocery and supply shopping for entire household; refrigerator and pantry organization ensuring all required items are in stock with family in residence.

Diligent care of all clothing, perform regular laundry,and closet organization. Manage clothing sent out for professional care.

Collect and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and compost items.

Assist family with packing and unpacking on arrivals and departures.

Provide household support with pet care and cleanliness, floral arrangement care, and other personal errands as requested.

Assist family with setup and breakdown for entertaining or events including table setting and beverage station setup.

Able to prepare light meals or assist with meal preparation preferred but not required.

Receive, manage, and sort incoming and outgoing mail / packages including printing return labels and transporting to mail carriers.

Act as an added layer of security, communicating concerns or vulnerabilities quickly.

Qualifications

Five years of housekeeping or relevant hospitality experience in a supportive role requiring a high level of client service.

Comfortable working in a family environment with pets.

Proven experience working independently, preferred but not required.

Must be able to speak, read, and write English and feel comfortable communicating with principals and management regularly.

Must have reliable transportation.

Ability to pass background and driving record checks. Legally able to work in the United States. Valid drivers license.

Willingness to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.

Required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and report your vaccination status with relevant documentation as a condition of employment. Fully vaccinated means you have received the final dose of a two-shot vaccine or a dose of a one-shot vaccine and have received at least one booster vaccine prior to the first day of employment.
