Job Description

  • Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients proprietary information.
  • Removes contents from machine opened envelopes and/or sorts according to specific criteria. Sorts and opens specialized labor-intensive mail with the numerous sorts using job aides and CDS Global procedures for each client. Sorts differ by each client and/or account so the employee must differentiate between each client and/or account while maintaining excellent quality expectations. Employee must differentiate between fund codes, checks, and document id s, etc. that are different for each client.
  • Obtains working knowledge using job aides and CDS Global procedures in an effective manner to ensure the mail is batched for each client according to quantity and quality expectations .
  • Differentiates mail sorts by comparing information and processing based on job aides and CDS Global client and/or account specific procedures.
  • Balances the check and/or cash mail with the documents and headers to ensure everything balances before sending to other areas. If the batches do not balance, researches and reconciles the batch.
  • For currency items, uses vouchers instead of cash to process orders through the automated image system.
  • Bundles contents, marks appropriately, and places bundles in specific tray.
  • Scans unbalanced images to clients.
  • Uses the copier/scanner to scan in batch headers with the Fed Ex/UPS tracking packages.
  • When receiving cash, follows departmental cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Completes daily production sheets to account for productivity.
  • Follows departmental standards in performing job responsibilities.
  • Interacts in cooperative and professional manner, with all levels of employees, vendors and/or clients, in team environment.
  • Organizes tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.
  • Follows CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies.
  • Adheres to CDS Global attendance guidelines; reports to work station as directed by management.
  • Works independently and makes independent decisions using learned knowledge .
  • Uses working knowledge and skills to use a defined set of methods or operational processes while adhering to quality guidelines.

Salary

  • Base wage = $14.50/hour

Shift Differential Premiums

  • 2nd Shift = 10% of base wage for each paid hour if 50% or more of scheduled hours occur between 4pm-12am on a regular and reoccurring basis.
  • 3rd Shift = 15% of base wage for each paid if 50% or more of scheduled hours occur between 12am and 8am on a regular and reoccurring basis
  • Weekend Shift = $3.75/ hour worked between 3am Saturday to 11pm Sunday.

Hours can be worked Monday-Friday 12am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested (or required).
  • Maintains clean working environment including daily machine cleaning, if applicable.
  • Makes proper adjustments to Opex Machine as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, except 17 years of age may work on Model 51 only.
  • Comparison skills to differentiate mail sorts by comparing information and processing based on job aides and CDS Global procedures.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Intermediate communication skills.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical problems.
  • Intermediate organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions using learned knowledge.
  • Working knowledge and skills to use job aides and a defined set of methods or operational processes while adhering to quality guidelines.
  • Ability to react to change and remain productive.
  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator.
