Associate Product Designer (Content)

About the role:
We are seeking an Associate Product Designer who's excited to design a world-class streaming experience for our client, with a specific focus on content discovery and user-driven personalization. Our Product Designers design across over 20 different supported experiences, from connected TVs, to mobile apps to web.
Your day to day
- Create designs that help improve content discovery and expand user-driven controls for increased personalization.
- Research the competitive landscape, create user flows and work towards product designs that take into consideration evolving functionality, technological innovation and their effects on the product and company revenue
- Take direction from design leads as requirements are forming. Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem platforms and devices
- Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our design systems and interactions
Minimum Qualifications
- Recent Design graduate - 2 years of product design experience
- A strong UX and visual design sense, with an eye for simple, intuitive interfaces.
- Experience quickly adapting to fast moving timelines and variable project requirements
- Collaborates with the team to understand requirements, expectations, while advocating for the user needs.
- Ability to rapidly concept, ideate and execute multiple concepts.
- An impressive portfolio that illustrates an understanding of functionality paired with a modern visual design sensibility. Any applicant without an online portfolio will not be considered
- Understanding of foundational design principles: grids, font and color styles, layout, responsiveness, etc.
- Builds click-through prototypes and tests hypotheses.
- General platform knowledge of App / OTT and understanding of Responsiveness Web.
- Presents designs and articulates the thinking behind the designs to peers and stakeholders.
- Completes developer handoff and supports designs through development and design QA.
- Accepts feedback from the team and thoughtfully incorporates changes.
- Completes tasks with autonomy, sharing work regularly and asking questions when the path forward is unclear. Eagerly takes on ad-hoc tasks.
