This position involves primarily operating a loader to excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials in a safe manner. May operate a variety of other vehicles and heavy construction equipment. Responsibilities. Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Operates a variety of vehicles and heavy construction equipment as needed. Performs routine inspections and maintenance on equipment; reports defects and repairs to the maintenance department. Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and objects.
