Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement of materials essential for high voltage construction projects in the Southeastern USA region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement processes, particularly within the electrical or high voltage industry, and possess excellent negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining the HIGHEST ethical standard.


Responsibilities:


Material Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and source suppliers capable of providing high-quality materials required for high voltage construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or project timelines.


Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage the supply chain to optimize efficiency and minimize lead times for material delivery.
  • Ensure all procured material specs meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Inspections and audits of materials ordered or quoted to verify compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain records of all procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations.


Project Coordination and Support:

  • Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Coordinate the delivery schedule of materials to align with project timelines and milestones.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement progress and potential risks to project stakeholders.
  • Cost Management and Budgeting:
  • Develop and manage budgets for material procurement, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and project budgets.
  • Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to recommend cost-effective purchasing strategies.
  • Track and report on procurement expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the electrical or high voltage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products including but not limited to; word, excel, and projects.


Location and Travel:

  • This position is based in Haltom City, TX, with optional travel to meet with suppliers, attend meetings, and visit project sites.
