Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Visualize and create graphics for illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.
  • Develop product concepts through final design sheets, including full plush turn-a-round layouts and color calls.
  • Design creative presentations and retail pitch decks.
  • Collaborate with design manager and sales team to design and approve products.
  • Coordinate product submissions for creative reviews and approvals with design team.
  • Concept, sketch, design packaging /plush ideas.
  • Research Initial seasonal and market trends.
  • Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within deadline.
  • A desire to collaborate with a team and appreciate the benefits of that experience.
  • Keep up with new creative trends.
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on time.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Digital Portfolio exhibiting creative design and software skills required.
  • Passion for toys and children s products is essential to be effective in the role.
  • Strong knowledge and interest of toy industry trends, leading brands, products, and what s emerging.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (e.g. industrial design, toy design, fashion design) or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge in hardlines/softlines categories (e.g. raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Product design skills (e.g. 3D product design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification).
  • Computer software skills (e.g. MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

The gross salary range is $66,560 - $70,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
