Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join the in-house marketing team of a prominent real estate brokerage based in San Antonio, Texas. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in creating visually stunning and effective designs that align with our brand's identity to benefit both the brokerage s marketing efforts to consumers as well as real estate agent requested collateral on an as-needed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level designer to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic team. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and leadership mentality who is looking to grow and learn in their position.
The hire will report to the brokerage s executive team with leadership and training provided by the marketing team s senior graphic designer and creative director.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, logos, and social media graphics.
- Proofing of self-generated creative as well as other documents, graphics, and creative on an as-needed basis.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual brand identity across all marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team as well as real estate agents and additional staff to conceptualize and execute design projects.
- Work independently and monitor your own progress to meet project deadlines.
- Meet tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assistance in event planning and designing of event collateral. Occasionally providing a helping hand in set up/break down for events.
- Communicating with real estate agents by providing status updates on projects, and working with them to design custom materials.
- Design and construct custom e-mail campaigns.
- Order creative materials to be produced by various vendors such as print shops, sign shops, promotional websites, and more.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- A digital portfolio of work that exemplifies your skills as a competent designer (student work is okay)
- 0-2 years of experience in graphic design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and composition
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Portfolio that showcases your design skills and creativity
- Above average knowledge of English grammar and articulate communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with web design and development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
- Familiarity with project management tools (CRM and task management tools)
- Certification in graphic design or related field
- Bilingual English/Spanish (ability to translate English to Spanish is a plus).
- Experience with Constant Contact, Mailjet, or a similar email service.
