Parts Warehouse Manager


Job Details

FUNCTION: Manage the dock to stock and stock to dock activities of the Mahindra USA Parts Warehouse. Interact with all departments within the Company to insure a high level of satisfaction to internal and external customers. Role will be responsible for all the activities from receiving of the material, repacking, put away, Order picking to shipping of the parts to the dealer network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

General Responsibilities:

  • team of shop floor team to meet the business goals and objectives.
  • of deploying Safety Processes and Procedures to bring in world class Safety behavior in the warehouse operation.
  • Daily Work Management meeting with the team Evaluating the Goals accomplishment and close on any gaps.
  • experience on lean management: 5-S, Visual Management , Kaizen, Value stream mapping. Ability create lean deployment and improvement plans for the warehouse.
  • to address day to day employee questions and concerns
  • employee engagement by promoting Mahindra s core principle of Collaboration, Agile and Bold.
  • high accountability among the team to meet the quality and velocity objective.
  • knowledge on SAP Warehouse Management
  • for End to End Warehouse Operation & Cost Management
  • with HR on Manpower Requirement.

Receiving (Job Specific)

  • the receiving department s workload -week by week
  • work plan for effective receiving of materials.
  • the receiving of material to repack to 48 hours from the receipt.
  • Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety in receiving department.
  • any packaging issues or opportunities with the buying department.
  • out Receiving Metrics on a daily basis.
  • 5-S and Material flow- in the receiving area.

Repacking (Job Specific)

  • Daily Workload on Repacking.
  • with Buying Team to reduce number of repacking.
  • productivity of repacking.
  • and Develop Repacking Department Metrics
  • Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety
  • 5-S, Kaizen -Continuous Improvement and Value Stream mapping


Put Away (Job Specific)

  • Work Management Putaway team
  • and Develop warehouse -Putaway operational metrics
  • Min- Max for each Part Number
  • Primary Location adherence metrics
  • and Develop metrics to tracking and monitor aging of Inventory
  • location strategy for each part or group of parts
  • of Parts Carousel Uptime
  • Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety
  • 5-S, Kaizen -Continuous Improvement and Value Stream mapping

Order Picking

  • a mechanism to improve the route efficiency
  • clean pick route map and route density

Wood Shop

  • and Monitor Spend of the wood shop and packaging material
  • Safety general requirement.

  • Monitor Obsolescence and Aged Inventory

  • Depart S&OP
  • Historical Demand process for Parts Department
  • Parts Cluster based Demand Pattern and Supply Details
  • with Buying team on Parts discontinuation process.
  • with Engineering Department on new parts introduction for parts department.

Dealer Parts Return Process: Establish clear process for Dealer parts return process.


REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the following elements required:

  • 7+ years of parts warehousing experience in the industrial or agricultural equipment industry
  • degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business management degree program of related field.
  • communication skills to be able to converse with dealers and employees via phone and email.
  • or team leader experience
  • to read, write, and speak the English language is required.
  • to communicate effectively in order to develop written reports and to provide instruction and guidance to team members.
  • to remain tactful in challenging and argumentative situations.
  • to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Programs, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • to work in a team environment

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

  • of SAP system.
  • to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, parts manuals, etc.
