Distribution Designer
Allied Resources is seeking the expertise of a Distribution Designer that will conduct field/site surveying, lead project estimation, produce designs/construction prints using Bentley MicroStation, apply for permitting, and enter related materials and requirements into job packages in accordance with the client s standards of construction and specifications. A day in the life:
- Recognize electric distribution framing and components from 4kV to 34kV to design or redesign overhead and underground distribution facilities.
- Perform calculations for distribution line design, including structure loading, guying, geometric angle, conductor sag, unitized framing, and safety guidelines using industry tools and methods.
- Use survey instruments and field equipment for data collection to create electric distribution designs, property surveys, as-built surveys, construction staking, and ROW staking.
The wish list:
- 2 years experience in Electrical or Gas Distribution design and estimation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Have a Highschool diploma or equivalent.
