We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Privacy Associate to join our clients' (Am Law 200) prestigious law firm at any of their offices located in Denver, Irvine, D.C., Philadelphia, or New Jersey. We are seeking attorneys with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in consumer and employee privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel on data privacy matters.
- Manage data privacy compliance projects effectively.
- Draft privacy policies, notices, and data protection agreements.
- Conduct data mapping and advise on consumer consent workflows.
- Offer guidance on technical website/app and digital marketing issues, including cookies, pixels, targeted ads, global privacy controls, and dark patterns.
- Assist clients with data protection impact assessments and respond to data subject requests.
- Demonstrate expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations (state, federal, and/or international).
- (Preferred but not required) Experience in data breach and incident response, reporting, consumer privacy litigation, and regulatory enforcement actions.
Ideal candidates will hold the IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category. While experience in employment law is advantageous, we are also keen to collaborate with talented attorneys who possess strong skills in consumer privacy and cybersecurity.
