Job Title: Graphics Designer (Labeling Project Leader)
Location: Tarrytown, NY 10591 - ONSITE
Payrate: 34-36/hr - 40+ hrs per week
HYBRID - 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home!
Important Notes:
- Prior experience in the packaging, pharmaceutical, medical device, or in vitro diagnostics industry is a MUST.

- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Experience with labeling software such as BarTender, Loftware, NiceLabel, or FrameMaker (a plus).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graphics Designer (Labeling Project Leader) to oversee the entire lifecycle of graphics and labeling projects, from initial concept to final production. You will be responsible for managing a team (if applicable), ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with various departments to deliver high-quality packaging graphics.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of labeling projects, from initial assignment through to final production release. This includes graphic development, artwork approvals, translations, and print supplier coordination.
- Lead the development and implementation of new and modified packaging graphics, ensuring brand consistency across global markets.
- Liaise with internal and external print production teams, including engineers and vendors.
- Maintain and archive digital artwork files according to established standards.
- Manage the artwork approval process, ensuring all designs meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with FDA and international labeling regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, engineering, and regulatory affairs to manage project priorities and implement changes.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, conducting and participating in project meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging (Design), printing, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in graphic/labeling development and print production.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with labeling software such as BarTender, Loftware, NiceLabel, or FrameMaker (a plus).
- Experience with file development and workflows for print and digital media.
- Knowledge of digital asset management (DAM), digital workflows, and XML (a plus).
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or in vitro diagnostics packaging industry.
- Experience supporting plant operations with documentation and specification changes impacting labeling and printing.
- Familiarity with Data Matrix codes.
- Experience with Documentum and labeling-based Digital Workflow/Artwork Management systems.
