Join our amazing team as our newest Veterinary Assistant.

Our focus is on being a place of comfort for our clients and pets, in sickness and in health. You will have an open door for growth opportunities ranging from becoming a veterinary technician, specialty medicine, and future management positions!

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Feeding and providing water to animals at regular intervals throughout the day
  • Sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas
  • Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations
  • Recording relevant information about animals, including weight and types of medication given
  • Advising owners of pets about caring for their animals at home
  • Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep
  • Patient handling and restraint
  • Medication administration & filling prescriptions
  • Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
  • Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience
  • Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!)
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
  • Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases Expert animal handling skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks depending on needs
  • Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment
  • Computer skills to maintain medical records about animals in veterinary software
