Join Our Team: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician


Our client, a leading industry player based in El Dorado, AR, is currently seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to enhance the operational efficiency, reliability, and safety of our plant operations. This is a pivotal role aimed at supporting the continuous improvement of production efficiency across all units while adhering to stringent safety standards.


What You Will Do:


- Troubleshoot and Optimize Operations: Dive deep into plant operations, equipment, and controls to identify and rectify inefficiencies for reliable performance.

- Technical Mastery: Apply your expertise in repairing and installing motors, control valves, transmitters, gauges, wiring, switches, and motor control equipment to uphold high operational standards.

- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Collaborate with safety and environmental personnel to ensure all operations comply with facility emissions permits and safety regulations.

- Process Control: Enhance plant operations by understanding and optimizing control logic, including the implementation and adjustment of distributed control systems.

- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine process surveys and participate actively in inspections and management of change activities to maintain peak operational efficiency.

- Team Collaboration: Build strong relationships with facility personnel, subcontractors, and technology suppliers to foster a cohesive working environment.


What You Bring to the Table:


- Experience: A solid background with at least five years of plant experience is preferred, particularly in pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and electronic control loops, motor control circuits, low power distribution, and high-voltage substations.

- Technical Proficiency: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and electrical control loops, including expertise in the rebuilding and repair of control valves, electrical motor contactors, and more.

- Education: A strong foundational knowledge base, supported by relevant experience in the field.

- Special Considerations: Given the safety and security-sensitive nature of the position, experience dealing with hazardous materials and industrial processes is essential.
