POSITION SUMMARY
Part to Full time paid Internship position within our Customer Service Department will contribute to maintaining the highest level of customer service with our customers. A Customer Service Intern must have excellent communication skills and will need to interact with customers, our Field Sales Representatives, Product Management and with various departments within the facility. Customer Service Intern is responsible for assisting with fulfillment of customers' needs with respect to order entry, order statuses and handling any issues arising in the process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurate data entry and electronic filing of orders and other customer service documents
Review purchase orders for accuracy via our contract review process
Maintain and reconcile customer orders which will help to avoid returns
Keep abreast of order status and provide customers with status updates including past due orders and provide Open Orders Report (OOR)
Must be aware of our Quality Objectives and Policies
Must have, or learn, a certain level of product knowledge to help support customers
Must be able to access and navigate customer portals
JOB REQUIREMENTS
General knowledge of how customer service works within a manufacturing environment
MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
AS400 computer skills a plus
Must be detail oriented and follow issues through to completion
Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to troubleshoot
Ability to keep customers satisfied while maintaining company guidelines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Required
Must be enrolled in an Administrative Office Technology Associate's degree program
1-3 years Customer Service Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
