CNG Engineering is growing! We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
CNG Engineering is a San Antonio-based, professional mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design firm that provides master planning, design, and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across Texas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
- Design of overall power distribution system
- Perform calculations to support system designs
- Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings
- Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
- Manage assigned projects, including coordination and/or direction for the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Lead design and construction meetings
- As other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proven track record of completing projects, strong project planning and delivery experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication
- Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive and client-focused
- Ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines with a high sense of urgency
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficient in Bluebeam
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of recent experience in Electrical Engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
- LEED accreditation is highly desired
- Proficient project management, including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
- Proficient interpersonal skills and experience helping maintain successful client relationships
- Proficient in planning and organizational skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current PE certification
- Current valid drivers license and insurable driving record
