Function The purpose of the class is to perform a variety of responsible library duties for the Hampton Public Library. This class works under general supervision according to set procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. One (1) year of experience performing paraprofessional library duties or closely related experience. Specialized courses/training equivalent to the completion of one (1) year of college in library science, literature, or a closely related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position. Must possess a valid drivers license and must have and maintain a satisfactory drivers record based on the City of Hamptons criteria. Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion. Additional Requirements. May require working beyond a standard 40-hour work week to include evenings and weekends. May require local travel and use of a personal vehicle...Library, Part Time, Assistant, Education
