Building Location:Business Service CenterDepartment:46160 RegistrationJob Description:The Revenue Services Associate I compiles and analyzes registration information to identify trends and communicate the findings to departmental leadership. Responsibilities include: maintaining history of relevant departmental statistics and tracking; compiling summary reports and competencies for new hires, auditing, monitoring and training processes as needed. The Registration Specialist works to optimize the patient registration flow, including such activities as patient identification, gathering demographic information, third-party payer information, and entering registration data into the practice management system. Identifies quality control issues such as duplicate coverage s, duplicate accounts, data entry errors, master file maintenance set-up errors, system set-up errors, and point of service activities such as preparing bank deposits and employee scripting. The Registration Specialist is also responsible for information to support benefits engine builds and maintenance, along with correct interface information from the other practice management systems that feed into the Epic System. Independently is responsible for making recommendations for improvements regarding registration and the registration system operations. Develops and writes policies and procedures and trains processes when implemented. Is also responsible for testing and troubleshooting system upgrades that affect the verification system, the registration system and benefits engines to ensure rules previously built work appropriately as written. This position works closely with insurance companies and the various areas of the organization to understand what system changes might improve the revenue cycle turnaround. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.Education Qualifications:Associates degree in Business, Communications or Computer ScienceMinimum of three (3) years of experience with computers and extensive knowledge of healthcare and third party payer requirementsORMinimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare billing office with extensive knowledge of healthcare and third party payer requirementsLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Valid driver s license and a driving record acceptable to Essentia Health insurer.FTE:1Possible Remote/Hybrid Option:RemoteShift Rotation:Day Rotation (United States of America)Shift Start Time:7:30am, 8:00amShift End Time:4:00pm, 4:30pmWeekends:Holidays:NoCall Obligation:NoUnion:Union Posting Deadline:To search for more jobs, please CLICK HERE ( .Find more than a job.
