AT WILL EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Caged Layer House Supervisor
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The role of the caged layer supervisor is one that entails a wide variety of responsibilities. As the house supervisor must ensure that all production, egg weight, and feed efficiency goals are met. Furthermore, he or she will monitor and track feed usage, layer mortality, egg weights, and sizes, and finally constantly monitor the houses for any sign of a potential disease. Although the well-being of the birds is the priority on the layer house manager s daily list, he or she will work with the house employees on problems with belts, egg jams, cleanliness, and manure pits.
Must be able to work with live animals and continually have their health and well-being at the top of the daily list. (All house workers must continually monitor three essential items feed, water, and temperatures.)
