JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a well-established Social Services Organization in search of a Director to lead its Counseling Center. The Director position encompasses providing direct clinical services, administrative and supervisory functions, and leadership activities, including participation in program marketing. Direct clinical services include individual and group therapy for a limited caseload. Administrative and supervisory responsibilities include clinical and operational supervision for counselors, oversight of clinical best practices, and overall management of business operations in the Counseling Center. This role requires the ability to think globally, solve problems, and have strong decision-making skills, including critical thinking.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, family, group, and/or child/adolescent therapy, dedicating approximately 25% of time to direct clinical services.
  • Oversee the clinical work of counselors, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the highest standards of practice.
  • Ensure the adoption and adherence to clinical best practices within the Counseling Center.
  • Ensure the Counseling Center complies with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Design and deliver training programs for clinical staff and interns to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure client records are maintained accurately and securely, following confidentiality and best practice guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures related to client intake and billing to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Optimize the use of Simple Practice software throughout the program to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing and Communications to develop, plan, and implement strategies that ensure the continuation and growth of the Counseling Center's programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with closely aligned organizations to create partnerships and collaborative opportunities for joint initiatives, referrals, and shared resources.
  • Continuously assess models of practice to identify areas for innovation and improvement.
  • Attend supervision sessions, case consultations, staff meetings, and staff development activities regularly.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the Counseling Center.


Requirements

  • New York State licensure as LCSW preferred. Other licensed professionals (e.g., Master s Degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field) may be considered based on acceptance from insurance payers and ability to supervise the counselors on our team.
  • Six or more years post-degree, clinical experience.
  • Three years or more of supervisory and/or clinical leadership experience.
  • Program development, data, and performance management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data management environments.
  • Experience with Simple Practice Software a strong plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Valid New York State clinical license.


Salary Range

  • $82,000-$92,000
