Overview:Reporting to the Plant Human Resource Business Partner, the Human Resource Assistant will help with the administration of the day-to-day HR operations (employee relations, benefits, recruitment, hiring, training, etc. ) as well as special projects (new policy implementation; training refreshers; documentation of training, etc.).Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Recruiting and onboarding of new-hiresAdministrative tasks including new-hire orientations, stay/exit interviews, and HRIS data entryWeekly Payroll report reviewWeekly Hourly employee attendance reconciliation and write up disciplineCollect and process employee change documentationAuditing HRIS for accuracyManage plant leave of absence process, including FMLA, STD, LTD and personal leaveCreating and maintaining reports impacting key metricsEnsure compliance with local and national regulations and employment lawGeneral administrative tasks, including maintaining employee database and sorting emailsParticipating in Plant s Employee Engagement CommitteeAssist with organization of plant eventsData entry / updating HR reportsMaintain HR filing systemKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must be a self-starterHigh level of attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and remain calm under pressureWork well independently with little to no supervisionEnthusiasm and a desire to learnKnowledge of HR practices and employment lawBe a good listener, ensure smooth and clear communication with all employees in a timely manner with resolution to their queries (good communication skills in written, verbal and body language)Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately calculate figures as well as record data properlyProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook email, etc.Excellent Follow-up and Problem Resolution skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowAbility to work under pressure and tough deadlinesQualifications:Proven work experience (at least 2 years) as an HR Coordinator or AssistantAssociate degree in HR or related fieldExperience in common HR Information Systems (ADP Vantage, Workday) preferredManufacturing environment experience preferredWork Environment/Physical Demands:Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment availableThis position will work in an office but may need to go out on the production floor as needed.Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluentlyEmployee will regularly be required to lift and carry objects of 10-25 pounds as neededEmployee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 25-30 pounds as neededEmployee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis Why should you choose Manpower?Free training to upgrade your skills, including a free college tuition programMedical, dental, vision, 401kWeekly pay with direct deposit24/7 Manpower customer care supportDedicated Career Partner to help you achieve your career goalsAre you Interested?Stop your job search and apply today!
