Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Complete prescription data entry into pharmacy software, under the supervision of a pharmacist, by transcribing prescription data and creating or modifying patient records.
- Documentation: Document all process information and data discovery according to operating procedures and utilize knowledge base materials as a foundation for resolving inquiries
- Timeliness: Strive to meet and exceed structured performance targets
- Communication: Work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion
Additional Responsibilities: - Maintain confidentiality of patient data and proprietary information
- Develop a working knowledge of company related security and privacy practices
- Contribute to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high level of productivity and error-free work
Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with standard pharmacy concepts, practices and procedures is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- High level of attention to detail is required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex new software
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers
Location/Hours - Full time position, on-site in Pittsburgh (Robinson Twp.)
- Flexibility for rotating shifts Monday-Friday 7:30am-9pm, along with rotating Saturday shifts every 8 weeks (9am-5pm)
