Licensed Practical Nurse I or Public Health Nurse I


The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) seeks a full-time (40-hour week) Licensed Practical Nurse I or Public Health Nurse I for the Teen and Adult Services division.


Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for evaluating and coordinating health services for individuals and/or aggregate groups in various socio-economic conditions in the clinic, clients home, or other community settings.
  • Services provided by the Licensed Practical Nurse or Public Health Nurse include STI/HIV/TB testing and management, Family Planning, Hepatitis, and vaccine distribution.
  • This is an in-person position.
  • Other assignments given as needed to support the Teen and Adult Services team.


Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurse I:

  • Graduation from a recognized program in practical nursing, a current and unrestricted licensure for practical nursing in the State of Illinois
  • A current IL Driver s license is required.
  • The starting annual salary for a Licensed Practical Nurse I is $42,378 for a 40-hour week.


Requirements for Public Health Nurse I:

  • An associate s degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing,
  • A current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Illinois
  • A current IL Driver s license is required.
  • The starting annual salary for a Public Health Nurse I is $59,355 for a 40-hour week.
