Intake Support - 1 Night Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary
This position provides support for intake operations and activities in a professional manner, following established handling procedures that meet supplier/customer expectations and supports the overall achievement of the company's vision, mission and values. This position assists with optimizing intake utilization and maintaining intake cleanliness.

Essential Functions

  • Safely and professionally operate intake equipment according to SOPs.
  • Follow proper policies and procedures to safely unload milk tankers using milk receiving equipment.
  • Follow federal and state guidelines for proper sampling and antibiotic testing of milk to ensure accurate qualitative and quantitative testing results and verify milk meets all quality standards prior to loading.
  • Maintain good communications with procurement leadership team and milk suppliers to ensure a safe, quality product and proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping including documenting the intake utility checklist.
  • Perform regular CIP, general truck and tank cleaning responsibilities according to SOPs.
  • Safely handle, prepare and use chemicals while wearing proper PPE.
  • Attend and/or complete required safety and quality training sessions by the assigned deadlines.
  • Actively participate in extraneous prevention and solids recovery.
  • Understand and adhere to all food safety, GMPs and OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Must possess and maintain valid CDL. (3)

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment
    This position is performed in a variety of weather conditions, which could include outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position, and days of work are on an alternating 5-2-2-5 schedule. Hours of work will be 5:00PM to 5:00AM. This position will work alternating weekends.

    Travel
    Travel is primarily local during the scheduled shifts with all shifts starting and ending in Milbank. Occasional overnight travel for training may be possible.

    Required Education, Experience & Certifications
    High school diploma or GED is required for this position.

    Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications
    Prior knowledge with antibiotic lab testing is desired. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
