Exciting Opportunity: Assistant Plant Manager in North Carolina
Locations: 2 locations within North Carolina
Role Overview: We are seeking two highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Plant
Manager/Superintendents to join our team. One position is based in Moncure, NC, and the other in Knightdale, NC. Both roles are essential to our operations, involving the oversight of various aspects of our hard rock mining activities.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within the hard rock mining industry.
A 4-year degree in a relevant field.
Hands-on experience in the trenches.
Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations.
Desirable:
- Quality Control (QC) background is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Moncure, NC: Overseeing all operations within the pit and quarry, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Knightdale, NC: General superintendent role involving drill & blast operations, managing a team of 2 hourly lead men and 25 operators.
Key Challenges:
- Learning and implementing the company s way of working, which emphasizes working safely, smartly, and positively.
- Adjusting to and promoting a corporate culture that values ethics, teamwork, and mutual respect.
Personality and Culture Fit:
- Must be a strong team player willing to pitch in where needed.
- Ability to adapt to a culture that does not tolerate authoritarian attitudes or unethical behavior.
- No issues with alcohol and treats all team members with respect and fairness.
Education:
- A 4-year degree is mandatory.
Experience with Specific Regulations:
- MSHA compliance experience is essential.
