Summary:

The Manager of Staff Scheduling manages a cross-functional staffing department, supporting clinical staff scheduling for our inpatient and residential programs. The Manager of Staff Scheduling, in collaboration with operational leadership, identifies and evaluates staffing strategies, maximizing business productivity.

Essential duties:

  • Provides department leadership in continual improvement as well as indirect support to patient care leaders to achieve highest level of performance and customer service.
  • Collaborates with patient care leaders on the appropriate use of staffing resources in the development, implementation, and execution of policies and procedures.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of staffing metrics.
  • Analyzes data to outline reasons for under/over staffing levels and recommends actions to improve performance.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply innovative solutions to increase business productivity, to reduce costs, and to minimize gaps in staffing.
  • Manages a remote team, providing coaching, training, continuous development, and support as needed.

Additional Job Description:

Requirements/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in staff scheduling and/or workforce planning, and a minimum of two (2) years leading high performing teams in related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of scheduling program technology.
  • Solid understanding of business software applications; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
