Job Summary:

The File Room / Data Entry Clerk provides technical and administrative support services that includes a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes all incoming mail and packages.
  • Prepares and processes all outgoing mail and packages.
  • Processes Merchant Mariner credentialing applications.
  • Creates and manages official merchant mariner records (electronic and paper based).
  • Records storage/upkeep and prepares Mariner records for archiving.
  • Correspondence and documentation.
  • Merges files and completes data entry related to the records retention process.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A current Public Trust preferred; or able to obtain and maintain.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have knowledge of Adobe Pro for merging files.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Access.
  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Must have a minimum of two years business/office experience.
  • Must have the ability to consistently lift/move maybe 20 pounds regularly.
