Description

Please Note: This position is located in Springfield, Illinois

This position is responsible for managing the fiscal operations, marketing needs and the administrative activities of the Office of Technology Management and Industry Relations. This position is also responsible for marketing the Office of Technology Management and Industry Relations (OTMIR) and technologies of the OTMIR to third parties and to internal personnel. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for compiling and tracking various information related to accounting, invoicing third parties and campuses, office expenses, and intellectual property progress. Moreover, this position is responsible for overseeing the management of the OTMIR's administrative needs, including but not limited to scheduling, meetings, committee support, database administration, internal grant management, agreement auditing and other business administrative duties. The staff member will be exposed to confidential information related to legally sensitive and scientifically important matters on a routine basis; therefore, the ability to comprehend the relevancy of this information and keep this information in confidence is of the upmost importance.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
  2. Two (2) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.

    (NOTE: A Masters Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)
  3. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in an area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
