The Construction & Maintenance Department is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Companys natural gas distribution system. This position: - installs natural gas pipe in ditches - manually digs around various utilities - pressure tests steel and plastic natural gas lines - participates in the repair of third-party damage to natural gas lines and various types of gas leaks - performs location of natural gas lines and facilities - completes pipe maintenance activities - installs test charts - sets up common Department of Transportation approved work sites - effectively flags traffic - safely drives a company vehicle - maintains the vehicle inventory - Operator Qualifications involve written guidelines and requirements natural gas employees must follow to ensure the safe and responsible operation of natural gas pipelines.
