Job Details

Job Summary:

Responsible for repair and maintenance of machinery used on the production floor. Provides support in maintaining the operations of any and all functions pertaining to maintenance of the building internal/external and machine repair.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that maintenance operations perform efficiently, safely, and quality work.
  • Ensure timeliness of completed projects and repair.

  • Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed in the workplace.
  • Effectively support production floor maintenance issues including machine breakdowns.
  • check oil levels monthly as well as all preventive maintenance of industrial sewing machines.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend customer specification and quality requirements.
  • Repair, modify, adjust and calibrate production machinery in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Test equipment after the repair has been made.
    Assess performance problems and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Must be able to work independently in locating parts and services.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards for tool cribs and supplies and tools.
  • Assist other mechanics as needed.
  • Assume additional responsibilities; perform additional duties, and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
  • Diagnose problems with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Utilize external vendors and resources when necessary
  • Weed eating/mowing


Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or previous work experience
  • Skilled with mechanical and electrical background
  • Exceptional leadership, team building, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Basic computer skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
  • Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
  • Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects more than 50 lbs.
  • Required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones.


Mental Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Displays ambitious, positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work proactively and independently in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically and professionally at all times.
