Working Title Mail Technician/Scheduler Brief Summary of Job Description

The Facilities Planning and Management Department is seeking applications for a full-time, Mail Technician/Scheduler to provide support to the campus community through mail services and the Facilities Management & Planning team through work order scheduling and management.

Job Duties

60% of duties will be focused on mail services including but not limited to:

Processing, receiving, sorting, and distributing campus and USPS mail.

40% of duties will be focused on work order scheduling and management including but not limited to:

Work order scheduling, multi-task work order management, work order follow up, customer service

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma with knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of a set of standardized practices, procedures, rules or operations of general post office or related work. This position requires high levels of repetitive motion on a daily basis, conduct repetitive body movements, push, pull, reach, stoop, and/or bend and lift up to 80 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license (class O). Must be able to spend long periods of time standing on a concrete surface. Ability to withstand moderate physical activity throughout the workday (standing, walking). Interpersonal and communication skills as performed in a critical customer service capacity interacting with students, faculty, staff. Must be able to express or exchange ideas by the spoken and written word. Ability to use a computer and be computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with mail operations, work order scheduling. High organizational skills.
