Summary of Position


Pine Tree is seeking to add an Associate to a highly talented Investments / Asset Management team. This dynamic role will obtain first-hand experience of the entire ownership cycle of our assets. As an Associate, you will learn an invaluable amount of knowledge about our industry and contribute meaningfully to our growing team. You will interact with senior leadership and collaborate with each of our verticals including Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Leasing, Property Management, Construction, and Accounting. The ideal candidate for this position is an energetic individual who understands the basics of real estate analysis and is looking to take the next step in a fast-paced and rewarding environment at a growth-focused organization.


Responsibilities


  • Manage asset-level operating and financial metrics by aggregating and validating data related to income, expenses, capital, and debt service
  • Maintain Argus models to provide projected property-level cash flows and valuations
  • Produce regular reporting for company stakeholders and lenders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Interact with senior managers and executive members on asset management and investment decisions
  • Contribute to the development and integration of strategic property initiatives
  • Proactively assess the assets in the portfolio for potential risks and opportunities for adding value
  • Calculate investment returns and provide sensitivity analyses for leasing, redevelopment, and sale scenarios
  • Review leases and other legal documents to determine the feasibility of value-add initiatives
  • Assist with market research
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for acquisitions and capital markets as needed


Desired Skillset & Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2 - 3 years prior commercial real estate investment analysis experience (retail preferred)
  • Intermediate / advanced Excel proficiency (required)
  • Argus Enterprise experience (required)
  • Ability to work both collaboratively within a team structure and independently
  • Willingness to contribute to process, culture, and general organizational improvements
