Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Team Lead Assembler-Aft Systems (Level C) to join the Cell 294 Feederline Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!

Team Lead with be responsible for leading the Cell 294 Feederline Team performing wiring and systems installations on cradle assemblies. The Team Lead will also be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Builds effective resource plans.
  • Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.
  • Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions.
  • Assigns daily work.
  • Leads team in daily safety check-in.
  • Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.
  • Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.
  • Documents and communicates shift turnover.
  • Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.
  • Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.
  • Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.
  • Creates standardized work instructions.
  • Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.
  • Responsible for BPS process improvements.
  • Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.
  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors.
  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned.
  • 1+ years of 787 Operations experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working within a team environment.
  • 1+ years of work experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word; Excel; Outlook; Power Point).
  • 1+ years of experience with system Velocity.
  • 1+ years of experience with REDARS.
  • 1+ years of experience navigating CMES.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with bond and ground, pressure seals, fiber optic examine and clean, wire routing on power panel.
  • 3+ years of experience with wire repair; tape wrap and remove and replace wire.
  • 3+ years of experience Power Feeder Install and hook up.
  • MFPP certificate.
Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
