Pharmacy Technician Certified - 40 hours rotating


Job Details

A Certified "Registered" Pharmacy Technician under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the pharmacy department which may or may not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist.Such duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining patient profiles; setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses; filling and dispensing routine orders for stock supplies of patient care areas; maintaining inventories of drug supplies; and mixing drugs with parenteral fluids.Technicians function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines, any deviation from which must be approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Qualifications

Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and be able to demonstrate computer applications proficiency and an aptitude for mathematics.

Experience: Preferred Minimum of 2 years Experience working in a clinical environment.

Education Required: High school graduate, or equivalent program.

Licensure Certifications or Registration: Required Must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and have a current license as a "Registered Pharmacy Technician" with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
