HPJ Performance is seeking a skilled and experienced High-Performance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-performance vehicles, extensive mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, building and maintaining high-performance cars, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and safety. Responsibilities: Diagnostic and Repair: Perform thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical issues in high-performance vehicles. Repair and replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate results. Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Ensure all vehicles meet or exceed performance and safety standards. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work in the software. Performance Install: Install and calibrate performance-enhancing parts such as turbochargers, superchargers, and pro-chargers. Install cooling components such as intercoolers and radiators. Ensure correct routing of pluming hoses, fittings, blowoff valves, catch-cans and reservoirs. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their vehicle issues and performance needs. Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance and performance upgrades. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service and communication. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and technicians to diagnose and repair complex issues. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or certification a must. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years focusing on high-performance vehicles. Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems and components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Must own your own tools.
