Occupational Summary
Act as the first point of contact for Office Products' Departmental Copier Program. This position provides technical and general operational support for equipment and services, answers customer questions, coordinates repairs, and assists with other tasks as needed. This position is also responsible for daily Stores deliveries of cash deposits from Store locations to the University Cashiering office, along with other various courier-related tasks.
Work Performed
Handle requests for service(s) received through Office Products' Help Desk. Log service calls and escalate repair and service requests to vendors. Monitor/track service calls to ensure completion.
Maintain a regular schedule of visits to office equipment locations to perform routine maintenance, including assisting customers with training and use of equipment and maintaining supply inventory at walk-up copier locations.
Collect equipment meters manually through on-site visits or electronically using collection software (Pharos Beacon). Update/maintain Pharos Beacon to reflect the current equipment inventory.
Perform daily tasks related to Stores deliveries of cash deposits with DUPD escort from Store locations to the University Cashiering office.
Perform courier tasks as needed. Pick-up and deliver interoffice mail and packages to various departments across the Duke campus and Duke Health System. Pick up and deliver merchandise from/to various local vendors.
Coordinate with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for the setup and configuration (Enter IP address, download software, firmware, etc.) of Office Products' equipment used to support the campus ePrint program.
Monitor on-site equipment and supply inventory.
Ensure delivery of toner and supplies in response to urgent requests from customers needing emergency replenishment.
Coordinate the delivery of Copy Cards to customers.
Ensure that service technicians follow established procedures for removing the hard drive (HD) from equipment taken out of service.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires knowledge of basic grammar, clerical and accounting principles generally acquired through a high school education.
Experience
Work generally requires two years of related experience in customer OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE service or office equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications at this Level Education/Training:
High school education; technical degree or two years of college preferred.
Experience:
Work generally requires two years of related experience in customer service or office equipment maintenance. Strong technical skills and knowledge of copier technology and other office equipment.
