About the Role: Join one of the world's most renowned global banks with over 200 years of financial services history. This mid-to-senior level role will focus on retail lending (e.g., mortgages), payments, and cards data within the Finance Data structure. You will ensure data compliance with regulations, laws, policies, standards, and procedures to manage the company's data risk effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Remediation: Drive data quality efforts for assigned financial products, collaborating with data consumers, providers, and technology teams.
  • Data Governance: Work with internal data governance and business/function stakeholders to implement data governance, promote "data as an asset," and foster a data-informed culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage senior stakeholders to develop and execute solutions for data quality issues.
  • End-to-End Data Flow: Identify and document data flow and critical data elements across retail lending systems.
  • Data Concern Remediation: Address data concerns, monitor fixes, and manage data quality issues.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Create presentations for diverse audiences, including executives and board members.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets in Excel to update on data concerns and critical metrics.
  • Project Management: Ensure clear deliverables, timelines, risk management, and accurate reporting for data projects.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 10+ years in banking and financial services, with experience in Controllers, Treasury, Front Office product owner functions, or Finance Data.
  • Data Management: Knowledge of data lineage, metadata, data quality, data remediation, and issue management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with JIRA, Excel, MS Office, and Zoom.
  • Retail Products: Strong understanding of retail products like mortgages and cards.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in managing large data populations and performing analyses.
  • Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance issues, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated relationship management and advisory skills with business and technology stakeholders.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Collibra and Smartsheet.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.
  • Understand finance functions and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate data requirements and support data process risk management.
  • Address and monitor data quality issues.
  • Present updates and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings to address data challenges and risks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for data quality and controls.
  • Ensure effective program/project management for data initiatives.
