Job Details
Perform preventative maintenance on diesel tractors, trailers, and trailer refrigeration units. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment problems. Answer drivers telephone request for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road. Maintain and repair all equipment (tractors, trailers, trailer refrigeration units, converter gears) to include engines, starting and charging, cooling, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, and suspension. Follow all company procedures and ensure a safe work environment. Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity. What we are searching for JOB REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic or combination of formal/technical education and directly related experience. Experience in electronic diagnostics and welding. Experience in engine diagnostics specifically as relates to heavy equipment.
