Troy Industrial Solutions is looking for a motivated professional with proven experience to fill aCAD Designerposition. Under the direction of the CAD Design Manager, the CAD Designer utilizes their working knowledge of CAD software to create 3D models and 2D technical drawings while incorporating drafting tools and current best practices.

This opportunity is in our Brewer, Maine location, where we have a significant focus on custom metal fabrication, bulk material handling, and machining with the backing of a large manufacturing facility loaded with the equipment, personnel, and resources to make you successful.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Use current CAD tools to create 3D models and 2D drawings based on customer and production expectations.
  • Use standard Drafting best practices and Structural Steel Detailer guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to create dynamic and turnkey solutions for multiple industrial markets, including wood, mining, power generation, recycling, municipalities, and food & beverage.
  • Communicate project status, questions, and concerns with Design Manager, those involved with assigned projects, and co-workers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external constituents.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES

  • Post-secondary school certificate or an Associate s Degree
  • Strong computer literacy and mechanical aptitude required.
  • 3- 5 Years CAD Design experience with SolidWorks preferred.
  • Other e.g., customer service, sales, product knowledge, metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer literacy using multiple software platforms
