Feed Mill Shift Leader (1st & 3rd Shift Available)


Job Details

Country View Family Farms is looking for Feed Mill Shift Leaders for their state of the art brand Feed Mill in New Columbia, PA! Positions are available for 1st and and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and passion for the agricultural/feed milling industry. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with CVFF policies, procedures and safety training.
Monitor ingredient and finished feed inventories, as required.
Maintain good housekeeping consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in assigned areas.
Perform general labor duties as assigned by management.
Ensure micro-bins are filled according to SOPs.
Collect all required samples as defined in the Quality Assurance Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform all required testing as outlined in the SOPs.
Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
Monitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding and routing processes.
Input information into computer automation system accurately.
Operate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures.
Promote safe work practices through example and maintain a lost work day incident rate equal to zero.
Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must attend scheduled safety meetings and other training meetings.

Tasks

Maintain completion records of team member trainings
Able to maintain, trouble and run the all equipment
Assure all CVFF team members meet position competencies
Monitor and track progress of team member trainings by department
Communicate with CVFF management on current training progress
Facilitate development, planning and implementation of department trainings
Develop content for training PR materials
Communicate with CFG Alchemy Manager to upload trainings
Facilitate development, planning and implementation of testing and evaluation processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) (preferred)
Previous feed milling experience - (preferred)
You are able to follow detailed instructions, task oriented and self-motivated.
You are able to handle paperwork with accuracy.
Previous forklift experience is preferred.
Have good reading, writing, math and communication skills.
Work well with others as a team.
Have basic computer knowledge.
Are able to swing a sledgehammer and carry 80 pound ingredient bags.
Are able to work at heights and climb ladders, work in confined spaces and work in hot and cold environments.
