Global Procurement Manager


Job Details

As the Global Procurement Manager, you are responsible for leading the procurement and supplier quality activities to support PPG's Aerospace Strategic Business Unit. The SBU has 10 manufacturing sites, and 16 distribution centers and procures direct and indirect products and services in support of manufacturing and distributing our products/services. The position is based out of our Sylmar, CA. facility and is a hybrid role. You will report to the Procurement Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Operational and Sourcing teams, and the Supplier Quality team associated with the SBU.
  • Establish and implement benchmarks and metrics including scorecards to set baseline standards and review for improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and oversee company procurement with a view towards reducing costs while improving the overall quality of sourced goods and services.
  • Negotiate multi-year contracts to cover 85% of SBU spend.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate, anticipate, and drive attainment of SBU and platform revenue and margin goals
  • Ensure compliance with Federal (FAR/DFAR/ITAR), State and Municipal requirements including Small Business Reporting
  • Reduce risk supply by developing key second source suppliers
Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in business operations, procurement, finance, or similar field
  • Minimum 10 years of direct procurement or sourcing experience in a large corporate setting
  • Aerospace or automotive manufacturing industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Strong Strategic Sourcing skills
  • Experience leading a large indirect reporting team
  • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including QAD, Oracle, ePro, etc

Salary Range $140,000-$165,000 plus annual bonus
