**Patient Care/Transport**:
* Assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other medical provider
* Take patients vital signs, assist with daily activities, administer medication, attend to patient needs
* Assess the transportation needs of the patient (wheelchair, lifting assistance, etc.)
* Assists patient with sign-in process
* Directs ambulatory patients/family members to appropriate location within Cancer Center
**Communication**:
* Greets patient/family members in a courteous and helpful manner
* Effectively communicates with staff members
**Recordkeeping/Reports:**
* Observe patients condition and reports any changes in condition to the Registered Nurse/medical provider for further assessment
* Documents patient interaction as needed
**Education**:
* Maintain continuing educations requirements
**Stock:**
* Assist with transporting supplies and restocking
**Regulatory**:
* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal procedures/guidelines/regulations
**Requirements:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent; required
* Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Mississippi; highly desirable
* Good interpersonal skills; required
* Must be service oriented; required
* Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics, required
