The Woodlands, our nursing facility, is uniquely designed as three distinct neighborhoods. Each neighborhood functions independently and includes a full-sized kitchen, living room, den and craft room. Our goal is to help our residents create a true home with its own unique customs and atmosphere.
We have the following opportunities available:
- Full-time 2nd shift (10 scheduled days every 2 weeks)
- Part-time 3rd shift (6 scheduled days every 2 weeks)
Qualifications:
Requires current nursing license by the State of Iowa.
Experience in Geriatric nursing desirable.
Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision desirable.
Essential Job Functions, may include but not limited to:
Dispense, administer, and record medication according to professional standards.
Provide and record treatments according to professional standards.
Maintain written records for all residents of The Woodlands in a professional manner.
Communicate in written and oral form with other health care professionals in accordance with accepted
nursing procedures.
Complete daily nursing duties in a professional manner.
Inform supervisory and administrative staff of any unusual occurrences.
Assist in the coordination of doctor visits, appointments, transportation, and resident companion.
Assist with meal service as needed.
Complete and maintain nursing assessments and care plans.
Communicate with families needs and conditions of residents.
