MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associates and 3+ years of experience in computer science, engineering, or equivalent field; or 7+ equivalent years of experience in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
* Administrative or other leadership experience within information technology preferred.
* Specialized knowledge related to networking, computer hardware and software support in a variety of platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to assist technology staff on technical issues.
* Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and concisely in both oral and written form, using language and medium appropriate to the audience.
* Highly organized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects.
* Must be able to lift, push or pull 40 pounds and be able to bend at the waist, kneel and reach above your head.
REPORTS TO: District Infrastructure and Hardware Coordinator
JOB GOAL: Assist in coordinating and implementing all district technology services.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Direct and assist technical staff in prioritizing work, troubleshooting problems, repair activities, preventive maintenance of information and communications systems.
* Assist the District Infrastructure and Hardware Coordinator in planning, organizing, and supporting the overall activities of information and communication systems.
* Support technical staff needs in areas such as training, materials, tools, and technical support to ensure their ability to perform as required.
* Supervises the work of technical services staff by facilitating and tracking project status; identifying problems and issues; allocating appropriate resources; and ensuring that technical support services are completed on schedule and at quality. Assists staff in the delivery of technical services as necessary and appropriate.
* Serve as a point of escalation and resolution to district technical services staff in troubleshooting, changes and enhancements to infrastructure, server, communications, and desktop systems.
* Lead technical staff in the effective implementation of successful best practices of IT service management.
* Assist in the overall success of an exemplary and fully compatible technology program which supports the services and goals of the district and its departments.
* Other duties as assigned by the District Infrastructure and Hardware Coordinator
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Compensation will be determined based on 260 contract days on the board approved 31NW salary schedule. This position requires an 8-hour workday.
