As a supply chain professional within the Space Systems Windsor Locks procurement group, you will be responsible for procuring critical major subcontract/engineered items. This includes ensuring timely placement of compliant Purchase Orders and overseeing all phases of the procurement process, from source selection and negotiations to post-award administration.

What You Will Do:

  • Procure major subcontract/engineered items, such as supplier-designed valves, motors, and sensors, while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Manage an assigned supplier portfolio, negotiate terms and conditions of purchase orders, and coordinate the resolution of supplier issues.
  • Review and understand supplier-generated program schedules to ensure on-time delivery of hardware and other deliverables.
  • Complete ad hoc reports and attend critical meetings to support management.
  • The selected candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships. Limited domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Microsoft Office Experience


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of direct procurement in a variety of major subcontract/engineered items (i.e., supplier-designed valves, motors, sensors, etc...) in support of U.S. Government contracts and/or within the aerospace industry.
  • A general knowledge of FAR, DFAR, NFS and Export Control (ITAR & EAR) requirements is preferred.
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical data is highly desirable.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Aerospace Industry experience preferred
  • SAP experience would be desirable.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
