Accounts Receivable Specialist Butler, New Jersey (Hybrid) First Environment, Inc. an environmental consulting services company that provides strategic environmental and engineering services throughout the U.S. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Butler, NJ office. The individual in this role will be responsible for contributing to the financial health of our organization by ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments. Key Responsibilities: Generate and distribute accurate and timely customer invoices on a monthly basis Apply for client payments via ACH, check, and credit card Record and reconcile customer payments in accordance with company policies and procedures Maintain and update customer information in accounting platform, Deltek Ajera Monitor overdue accounts and follow-up with customers to secure timely payments Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding billing issues, discrepancies, and payment arrangements Regularly reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies Coordinate with human resources staff on timesheet and payroll questions and needs Perform related duties as assigned Work at least three days per week in First Environment s Butler, NJ headquarters office Minimum Qualifications: BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Minimum of three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services organizations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients Excellent organization skills and attention to detail Working knowledge of current accounting standards and best practices Knowledge and experience with accounting and project management systems; specific experience with Deltek Ajera a plus, but not required Salary Range $50-60K About First Environment Headquartered in Butler, New Jersey, First Environment is a veteran-owned, multi-disciplinary environmental consulting and engineering firm.
